National Employee Benefits Day
K+A is delighted to celebrate National Employee Benefits Day today. This is the day chosen by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) to mark and acknowledge “[your] dedication to providing quality benefits and the important role [you] play in [your] colleagues’ well-being.” Good for you!
For this year’s National Employee Benefits Day, the IFEBP has declared a special focus on Communicating Employee Benefits. Because of the significant impact benefits communications can have on employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, we fully support this focus. We join the IFEBP in encouraging you to “use the day to evaluate your current communication efforts and to take time to educate your employees on the valuable benefits you offer.” To help you maximize the effect of your communications, we’d be delighted to meet with you to discuss our communications services (Discovery & Objective Setting, Inventory & Audit, and a full suite of communication tools, including employee portals, newsletters, Benefits at a Glance, benefits booklets, benefits enrollment/program promotions, Total Reward Statements, and employee focus groups).
We invite you to visit our website at www.kriegerandassociates.com to learn more about our communications offerings. We also invite you to follow us on Facebook.
K+A’s communication for Amex chosen for Design at Work Exhibit
An employee communications campaign created by Krieger + Associates for our client Amex Canada Inc. has been selected by RGD Ontario for Design at Work, a juried exhibit of professional graphic design demonstrating how design creates value for business. (A description of the submission can be found by following the link to the “business to business” category.) The campaign was submitted by K+A’s Creative Director, Bruce Wrighte, who is a member of The Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario.
Bruce was also featured recently on the Association’s website, where members are profiled in their RGD at Work section. Needless to say, we are all very proud of Bruce and this accomplishment.

Avoid claims disruptions in the event of a postal strike
Between March 25 and April 17, Canada Post employees will be voting to determine whether or not to strike. If a strike occurs, there are several things your employees can do to avoid claims payment delays caused by the disruption in mail service:
• Use their drug cards whenever possible.
• Submit dental claims electronically if their dentist has the capability.
• Register for claims payment by electronic funds transfer.
• Submit claims online if allowed by your insurance carrier. (Please remind your employees to keep all original receipts.)
• Fax claim forms and expense receipts. (Please remind your employees to keep all original receipts.)
